Cat Lai Port still has a backlog of nearly 1,600 containers of scrap

 

According to the Customs Branch of Saigon Port Area 1 (HCMC Customs Department), updated to the end of November, Cat Lai port still has 2,408 containers in stock. Of which, 1,594 containers are scrap.
Specifically, 410 containers have been submitted to the Anti-Smuggling and Violations Prevention Department and are reporting to the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department to establish the ownership of the whole people; 302 containers have been reported by the Sub-Department to the Supervision Department on handling directions; 200 containers have opened declarations but did not come to work.

In addition, there were 682 containers that were not eligible for import and forced to be re-exported or destroyed. The Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch has sent 2 consecutive dispatches in October and November to shipping lines with backlogged goods as scrap at the port to carry out instructions on the destruction of scrap. .

The rest, as of the end of November, 814 containers, including 799 containers, have been classified, proposed to handle backlog and 15 containers are pending further processing.
